Intergen held very successful concerts in March 2014 at Wellacre Academy and Sale Grammar School. At the Sale concert choirs from The Firs, St Mary’s, Woodheys, Limetree, Springfield and Worthington, along with dancers from Limetree, an orchestra from Brooklands and two pianists from Worthington  entertained a very full audience.

Whilst at Wellacre, Wellfield Infants and Junior choir were joined by choirs from King’s Road and Kingsway. St Hilda’s steel band, St Michael’s orchestra, and individual instrumentalists from Wellacre added variety to a super evenings entertainment.

The Worshipful the Mayor of the Borough of Trafford, Councillor Butt attended both concerts and was very impressed by the talent each school showed.  Over £2000 was raised for Intergen to enable us to continue to recruit volunteers and support local schools. Our thanks go to our sponsors Slater Heelis, advertisers, patrons, businesses that donated raffle prizes, schools involved, their teachers and pupils. Also to Margaret Curzon and Mary McCrae for their organization and performance of the massed choir songs.
